Certification Program
A structured, three-level certification system designed to standardize crisis-to-911 communication across public safety agencies, crisis lines, healthcare systems, and educational institutions.
Certification Pathways
CJIP offers six certification pathways covering agency readiness, individual personnel certification, and ongoing compliance. All pathways are in development; enrollment timelines are subject to pilot program completion.
Agencies completing the 60-day CJIP pilot program
Issued to agencies that complete the 60-day CJIP pilot program, including baseline assessment, personnel training, and initial quality assurance review. The Pilot Agency Certificate documents that an organization has formally engaged with CJIP standards and completed structured evaluation requirements.
Agencies preparing for full CJIP deployment
A structured readiness assessment conducted prior to full CJIP deployment. The Implementation Readiness Review evaluates whether an agency's documentation systems, training infrastructure, supervisory capacity, and quality assurance workflows meet CJIP standards for full certification eligibility.
All previously certified personnel
All CJIP-certified personnel are required to complete annual recertification to maintain active certification status. Recertification ensures personnel remain current with updated protocols, jurisdiction-specific requirements, and any revisions to CJIP standards issued during the preceding certification year.
Frontline crisis response personnel
Designed for frontline staff who make direct contact with individuals in crisis and are responsible for initiating 911 handoffs. This certification establishes the foundational competencies required for accurate jurisdiction identification and structured emergency communication.
Supervisory and quality assurance staff
For supervisors and team leads responsible for overseeing CJIP-compliant operations, conducting quality review, and managing escalation procedures. Builds on Level I competencies with advanced oversight and performance management skills.
Internal trainers and program administrators
Authorizes internal staff to deliver CJIP curriculum, onboard new personnel, and maintain agency-wide certification standards. Level III holders serve as the primary point of contact for CJIP compliance within their organization.
Platform Features
Self-paced, scenario-based learning accessible from any device. No scheduling required for initial certification.
Assessments use real-world crisis scenarios to evaluate competency, not just knowledge recall.
Certificates are issued immediately upon successful completion with a unique verification ID.
Every certificate carries a unique identifier that can be verified by supervisors, auditors, or accrediting bodies.
Recertification ensures personnel stay current with updated protocols and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
Administrators can track completion rates, certification status, and upcoming recertification deadlines across their organization.
